Ask if the shop has on site rental car assistance and insurance claims assistance as well as any industry certifications to properly repair your car.

It is always important to read your policy as it details what your insurance company will pay in the event of a loss. Most insurance companies will use parts that are the most cost effective to perform repairs to include a/m parts, which are copies of the original manufacturer part and usually of lesser quality. In the event these parts are included in a repair estimate from your insurance company we will only install on your car if they are of exact fit as the original. It is your responsibility to ask if they would honor original replacement parts. Lkq and reconditioned parts are parts of Like Kind and Quality, usually a recycled part, are also a common industry practice for most insurance companies. Again this would be your responsibility to inquire about the use of new original manufacturer equipment.
Your insurance company may direct you to have complete vehicle repairs at a preferred auto body shop; however it is always your decision to have repairs done at a location you have chosen and deem trustworthy. It is illegal in the State of Florida for an insurance company to put pressure on you in order to have the vehicle repaired at a shop of their choice this is called steering.

The deductible amount is determined at the time you purchased your insurance. Unless your auto body shop is notified that this fee has been waived for any reason, the vehicle insurance policy’s deductible amount is to be paid by the customer directly to the auto body shop once repairs have been completed. DeColores Collision Center accepts debit and major credit cards as well as company checks.
